It is a tough journey because of the deep and soft mud

Secure our water needs everybody's participation

This tiny island country lacks fresh water. From colonial period, tens of reserviors have been built up.
The environment of reserviors is the key for the water quality and PUB puts great effort to educate reservior users.
The earliest reservior is located in the centre of Singapore island where is the "remote" area (Lower Peirce Reservoir)
The surrounding rain forest and the cleanest water (Lower Peirce Reservoir)
These reserviors woundn't be affected by our normal life , except we visit these lovely places(Upper Seletar Reservoir )
However, this water resource is limited (Upper Seletar Reservoir )
More reserviors were later built near the towns (Jurong Lake)
These reserviors can be easily polluted by our normal activities (Jurong Lake)
The Marina Barrage turns Singapore river into Marina Reservoir. This reservoir would be affected by human activity heavily.
* *
PUB plans to connect all reserviors to form a network system. Until then, every drop of rain will be collected. This is also a double-edged sword, as any "mal-settled" rubbish will pollute our water.
Everybody need to participate in the action to protect our environment, especially our invaluable fresh water resources!

Another sunset @ Semakau

This area is located at the northern part of the Pulau Semakau and it is said less survey was conducted here for the Project Semakau. It seems the biodiversity is high in this area and we would come here again later. I would like to share the beautiful sunset first.

Red breasted parakeet @Changi
