牛背鹭，又名黄头鹭，放牛郎。它们喜欢在草地上捕食昆虫，蜘蛛，青蛙等，而牛等大型动物免费将这些小动物赶到餐桌上面。新加坡有很多草地，经常可以看到牛背鹭活动。不过在新加坡没有牛背鹭繁殖的记录。
Cattle egrets follow cattle feeding on the insects that are disturbed by cattle. Cattle egrets are very common in Singapore, although no breeding record here.
