It is said that Semakau is a heaven for knobbly sea stars and we didn't observe a single one during our previous three surveys. This time it seems they are holding a year-end party and we observed more than 60 knobbly sea stars including three juveniles.
The juveniles were found in the seagrass meadow, you can notice the diffence between the juvenile and the adult here (Ron, please point our if I am wrong)
We found five sea stars there and put them together for a group photo, and soon we found this arrangement is really unnecessary
please set a knobbly sea star reserve here, right now!
