(Cacatua sulphurea)Yellow-crested cockatoo @ NUS

The Yellow-crested cockatoos (Cacatua sulphurea) originated in Australia. They were brought into Singapore by pet trade and subsequently released or escaped. They have established themselves in Singapore and have feral breeding populations。There is a population living in NUS campus.

  1. Might not be sulphur-crested cockatoo, but yellow-crested cockatoo (Cacatua sulphurea) instead, from Indonesia. This species is known to be breeding in Singapore, while the sulphur-crested has not been confirmed to be breeding here yet.

Also, the yellow-crested cockatoo tends to have yellowish 'cheeks'.
