There are 20 participants for today’s mandarin guide walk.
The weather is fair to cloudy, and the tide is running out. Along the mangrove board walk, we meet some amazing creatures, the tree-climbing crabs are feeding on defoliations; the mudskippers are walking around their condominiums; the fiddle crabs are crawling out their homes; the small horseshoe crabs are swimming in the shallow stream; the plantain squirrels are jumping among trees, and the cicadas are singing loudly.
At the main bridge, we catch sight of stork-billed kingfisher, collared kingfishers, little egrets, great egret, grey heron and brahminy kite. Several schools of half-beak fish and anchor fish are swimming under the main bridge.
A flock of whimbrels and little egrets fly back to SBWR at the end of our walk.

(Cacatua sulphurea)Yellow-crested cockatoo @ NUS

It was sunny or cloudy during the Madarin guide walk and around 25 friends involved in this activity.
This walk showed the biodiversity of Sungei Buloh: different kinds of mangrove trees, especially with some vivipary and fruits, water monitor lizards, skinks, crabs, mudskippers, egrets, shorebirds, archrfish, halfbeak, et al. It is a little pity that we didn't observe the crocdile and otter during this walk because of the time.
