这是用过期杂志纸折的盒子，可以收纳一些小东西如发夹，首饰，硬币等。

This box was folded from magazine paper. It can be used as a container for coins, small accessories etc.广告纸折的小盒子，其中最实用的就是右上角的小垃圾盒。其余的小盒子可以用来盛放糖果，小零食。

每年4月22日是世界地球日，其目的是提醒大家爱护地球，保护环境。

为了配合地球日的的宣传，本期折纸活动的主题是给废广告纸和杂志多一次机会。这些纸张可以折成实用的收纳盒，糖果盒和垃圾盒，也可以折成别致的垫子和漂亮的小动物。

Earth day (22nd, April) is coming, and there will be a special origami session in this Sunday (18th, April) afternoon at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. Flyers and magaine papers will be used to fold containers, holders and birds.

原本计划明早去瞧瞧这对斑扇尾鹟的进展，不过似乎那里出了些状况。
今天傍晚时分，好友mantamola在那里搜索了半天，既没有看到鸟巢，也没观察到斑扇尾鹟的动静。
有两种可能性：
其一，mantamola找错了地方；
其二，前两天的狂风骤雨摧垮了斑扇尾鹟的鸟巢。
明早一定要去查清楚。

白胸秧鸡四处觅食，为了下一代 white-breasted waterhen looking for food for the offspring

甚至可以大胆到从我的手里啄走面包 It even came to take the bread on my hand

一般而言，白胸秧鸡比较害羞，稍微靠近一点就会跑开或者飞走。不过这只生活在植物园的有点与众不同，他/她或者因为见过太多友善的人类，或者因为尽力寻找食物抚养小鸟，不惜抛头露面主动到我的手上找吃的东西。

Generally, white-breasted waterhen is shy and would run away or fly away when you walk close. However, this waterhen came to get the food from my palm. There are two possible reasons: the waterhen living in the botanic garden gets used to human beings and the waterhen is trying their best to get enough food for the chicks.

黄臀鹎在新加坡的发展非常成功。它们的身影出现在全岛各地。一般认为，它们不挑食的良好习性是其重要的成功因素。它们最钟爱浆果和其它小果子，也会吃昆虫，无论是藏在树皮里的还是空中飞的。它们非常适应人类的生活环境，甚至会把鸟巢搭建在阳台上。--黄臀鹎的繁殖季节是二月到六月，看看你家的阳台或花园有没有黄臀鹎精致的小窝吧。

Yellow-vented bulbul is very successful in Singapore and the main reason is its wide range of diet. They are used to live with human beings and it is reported that some birds even build their cup-shaped nests in balconies.

If you are living in Singapore, check your garden or balcony right now as the breeding season of yellow-vented bulbul is from Feb to June.
